1,000-Year Tradition
Three ingredients doing real work.
Persimmon extract
Naturally rich in tannins, traditionally used in Japan as an astringent, cleansing botanical.
Coconut oil
Softens and moisturizes - helps counter dryness linked to hormonal changes.
Olive oil
A gentle, time-tested base oil that keeps the bar mild on sensitive, mature skin.
It's not a hygiene problem. It's a chemistry problem.
After 40, the body naturally produces a molecule called 2-nonenal — the compound behind what Japanese culture calls kareishu, or aging odor. Because it's oil-based and binds to the skin's lipid layer, regular soap can't break it down, no matter how often you use it.
Japan solved this 1,000 years ago.
Persimmon extract contains polyphenols and tannins that help chemically neutralize 2-nonenal on contact — not masking it, breaking it down at the source. Japanese tradition knew this long before Western science confirmed it in 2001. Kakishi is built on that same principle, paired with coconut and olive oil to stay gentle on mature skin.
